MY LORE
Many years ago, in a soggy marshland pond, a fresh cluster of eggs was just about to hatch. The eggs were unprotected, as the sounds of someone coming near had scared off any protection they would have had from their parents. In a moment, the eggs were hatching and turning into tadpoles, but they had a new liquid poured onto them. Radioactive waste? This green liquid, whatever it was, was hurting the tadpoles!
New thoughts and feelings started to spill into your mind as you changed form. You were no longer an egg and no longer a tadpole. You looked over at your family and found that you didn’t quite fit in with them anymore, but you noticed that you were also not the same as the human standing before you. You were part frog and part human. No, you were born a frog; it didn't matter how you looked at this point. All that mattered was that you protected your tadpoles. The human that had poured the waste on you and your family stood before you, shocked at what you had turned into. Its mouth agape at your new form, almost dumbfounded. You stared back at it with a hateful look in your eyes, wondering how anyone could harm another creature. The human tried to run off, but as you endeavored to follow it, you quickly learned that you hadn’t grasped the concept of walking in your new form yet. You fell over in the pond, flopping around like a fresh baby tadpole. You watched as your family either died off or got ill from the toxic liquid. You tried to move them to another nearby pond, but everything you did was futile, as your movement was not yet strong enough. Soon night came and you grew cold, but you didn’t stop trying to learn how to move your new body. You couldn’t stop; you had to move. You didn’t know why you had changed form or why you were the only member of your family to do so, but deep in your being you knew that person with that toxic liquid would return.Years had passed since that fateful day at the pond. Ever since then, you had been in hiding, trying to do your best to make the world a better place. You may have lost your real family, but you had found a new set of tadpoles to call your own, and you loved them very much.
